HYATTS OF FLORIDA JOIN TOGETHER TO HELP HAITI
Hotels and resorts show commitment to helping survivors and associates affected by earthquake

WESTON, Fla. –  In response to Haiti's devastating earthquake last month, Hyatt hotels and resorts throughout Florida have come together to support survivors and Haitian members of the Hyatt family affected by the tragedy. Through charitable efforts in numerous markets, Hyatt associates have collectively raised more than $5,500 in addition to collecting essential supplies to donate to earthquake relief efforts.

With a large Haitian workforce, Hyatt is also committed to providing support to their many Haitian associates in the form of grief counseling and other services such as free Internet access and long distance telephone service to connect with loved ones. Relief programs instituted throughout Florida include:

• Hyatt Regency Bonaventure in Weston, Fla. collected necessities such as food, clothing, baby supplies and basic medical supplies from associates and guests and raised nearly $1,000 through donations and a bake sale. Twenty-eight percent of the hotel's associates are of Haitian decent, and the hotel is continuing to accept $3 donations to sponsor cases of bottled water to send to Haiti. For more information, please call (954) 349-5717.

• Hyatt Regency Sarasota is hosting a fundraising walk with the goal of raising $10,000. The February 20 walk will begin in the resort's parking lot and end with a resort-sponsored barbecue.
