Deerfield Beach, FL. – May 24, 2012 – The all-inclusive, family-friendly St. James's Club Resort & Villas, an Elite Island Resort in Antigua, recently announced that three of the top illustrators and storytellers from the world-renowned children's publisher Puffin will be heading to Antigua this summer. Thanks to an exclusive partnership, St. James's Club will be hosting the three children's publishing superstars while offering resort guests a family-focused program that is designed to bring their stories to life. Activities will target a wide variety of age groups ranging from three to ten years of age. Highlights include live drawing classes, mermaid mask making, sea monster modeling and, of course, storytelling, just to name a few.
The exciting line up of special guests includes the following:
• Award-winning illustrator Adam Stower, whose books include Bottoms Up and Mungo and the Picture Book Pirates, will be hosting daily events in the children's club June 2 - 9, 2012. • Curtis Jobling, original creator of Bob the Builder, will be the children's artist from July 28, 2012, until August 8, 2012. His other books include Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, Frankenstein's Cat and the Wereworld books series for older children.
• Rachel Bright, whose books include My Sister is an Alien and What Does Daddy Do? will take over the activities for two weeks starting August 11, 2012.
In addition, an extensive library of more than 50 Puffin classics to suit all ages, including teenagers and young adults, will be available in the children's club, ranging from The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl as well as contemporary classics such as the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer and Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.
